Is It Safe To Take Contraceptive Pill Post Endometriotic Cyst Removal?

I have had an endometriotic cyst removal in dec and my doc tor had prescribed some hormonal tablets to stop the recurrance of cyst for 6 months. They end today. She had said that we should start trying to get pregnant from july but my husband is not to keen on that and she said u can use contraceptice pills for 2 months and then start trying from 3rd month. is that fine?
