Is It Safe To Take Contraceptive Pills On The Fourth Day Of Periods?

I recently got married, i was prescribed loette but i didnt start it on my 4th day of menstruation, i took the day 4 white pill as told by pharmacist, finished the day 5-7 and i am on my 5th pink tab, i was informed that unprotected sex will be ok after taking 7 pink pills, we still use rythm and condom though, was my pharmacist correct? If i finished the whole pink tabs will i start on the white tabs on the next pack or go ahead with pink?
