Is It Safe To Undergo Hysterectomy For Adenomyosis?

Hi, I'm having lots of pain each month due to adenomyosis. I'm considering having a hysterectomy. I've been told by my retired surgeon father to find out the difference between LAVH and Robotic Hyster. Is one better at avoiding damage to the ureter or other organs that may have been connected to the uterus with scar tissue? Does insurance generally reimburse both types above the same? And I'm new to this area so how do I go about finding a skilled surgeon to do the surgery? My OBGYN currently is suggesting an ablation, but I've been convinced by an old RE I saw and others that with the adenomyosis I have, an ablation will not help.
