Is It Safe To Undergo Total Hysterectomy For Endometriosis Despite Having Hypothyroidism?

Hi. I had a total thyroidectomy four years ago. I also had an ovary and my fallopian tubes removed two years later due to ovarian cysts and my fallopian tubes being rotted , as my gynaecologist put it. I have been recommended a total hysterectomy by my gynaecologist because I suffer from endometriosis, have heavy bleeding 20 days of the month and the cysts are likely to appear on my ovaries again.I am terrified of having this procedure done because the medication I am on for my hypothyroidism doesn t seem to work (a problem I hear quite a lot from other hypothyroid patients) and I am afraid of the consequences of losing even more hormone production. I realise that I will one day be naturally menopausal and that scares me too.My question is... What can I expect, being hypothyroid, if my remaining ovary is removed? My GP keeps telling me I will be put onto HRT and I will not suffer any consequence, but that is what he told me prior to the thyroidectomy, how wrong he was. I am already a zombie now. Will it be worse after a total hysterectomy?
