Is It Safe To Use Brolene Eye Drops For Swollen Eyelid?

I have pink swollen eyelid. there doesn't seem to be any infection on actual eyeball. I have washed a few times today with boiled salt water and put in Brolene eye drops- is this enough treatment? I wear contact lenses and have done for over 30 years- I have always cleaned my lenses thoroughly and never had an infection before until recently. in August I got a very bad infection in my other eye which lasted a few weeks. the doctor thought it nay have been an insect bite and prescribed antibiotics. I haven't had new contact lenses ( gas permeable) for several years now. do you think that is why I may be more susceptible to getting infections suddenly?
