Is It Safe To Use Neosporin On Open Wound Caused After Cyst Removal?

i had a surgery last week to get a cyst remove. I had suture out in and last night the suture came undown and I now have a open wound and it is bleeding. The on call doctor said that it is normal and put son Neosporin and gauze on it and wait for the appointment on Wednesday. What should I do?
