Is It Safe To Use Ovestin Cream For Itching And Burning Sensation Of Lichens Sclerosus?

Hi...I have been using Ovestin Cream topically on my vulva for relief from the itching and burning of Lichens Schlerosis. So far I have reacted badly to other steroid creams but not the Ovestin. I am peri menopausal but want to know if it could be contributing to noticeable weight gain and very irregular periods? I am probably over using it (×2 daily) as it gives me such relief. Also could it increase the chances of vaginal cancer?
