Is It Safe To Use Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream In The Evening For Acne?

Hello. My mom gave me some triamcinolone acetonide cream she said would clear up my dark spots left behind from acne. I was wondering if it is effective in that way. She also said not to put it on in the morning because the sun will reverse the effect. True?
