Is It Safe To Use The Clotrimazole Cream Applicator If I’m A Virgin?

Hi doc So I was given a cloritomazole cream and an applicator. The nurse asked if I was a virgin and I said yes then she said I shouldn’t use that applicator, that I should just use my hand to rub inside . I want to know if she was wrong or right Because I’m scared of inserting it inside of me , I prefer using my hand and besides the applicator isn’t tiny
