Is it worse to stay on codeine for pain relief when there is no chance of addiction and it defers a patient from diabetes because of the excercise it enables a patient to keep blood sugar levels normal whereas the loss of excercise due to pain is a result of stopping codeine has a result of raising blood sugar to between6.3 to16 (pre diabetec person, my doctor states you either have diabetes or don't. which I disagree with. My younger brother has levels on average6.1-6.4 and has been told has 50% chance of having a stroke.
