Is Laser Surgery, Safe For Infected Hair Follicles?

I have 3 or 4 infected hair follicles in the inside of my bikini line, they swell up and are quite painful at times. i am scheduled to have them surgically removed in about 2 weeks. A friend has told me to check into laser surgery removal of them. Is that a option for me?
