Is Light Period After Having Sex Normal?

hello, my girlfriends on her period. we had sex friday day and we didnt use any contraception but the pill, she then stopped taking the pill saturday to come on her period. she came on her period on monday and her blood was a light colour and was a light period. is this normal?!
