Is Little Bump In Ear On The Spot Of Piercing After Having A Cyst Drained Normal?

I had a puss filled cyst on my cartilage on my ear where i had had it pierced. it's been three weeks since the cyst was drained and i was on anti-biotics and i still use the anti-biotic ointment i was giving. there is a little bump where my piercing was and i was was wondering if i could put the earring back.
