Is Long Term Usage Of Candesartan Advisable For Person With Heart Disease?

My boyfriend had a heart attack at 44, which was 3 years ago. He is still taking candesartan and complains about being cold all the time. This can't be good for him in my opinion. He has changed his diet immensly to be healthy. He has never had a blood pressure issue before so we don't understand why he is still on this drug.
