Is Melalite Xl Helpful In Reducing Dark Circles?

Hi, my age is 22, height 5.3" and weight 52kgs. I have a problem of bronachial Asthama..but the current problem I am dealing with is, I have Dark Circles and as per consulting a skin specialist he has suggested me "Melalite XL" twice a day. Wanted to know if it would be effective in reducing the dark circles and if yes what would be the duration I need to continue the cream and also

would it have any side effects to my skin.
