Is Mild Fever Normal With Upper Respiratory Infection?

I have been sick with an upper respiratory for a few weeks now, doctor has given me steroids and now I finishing up some antibiotics. What concerns me is not only am I not feeling better but my temperature has been about 96-97 and its normally around 98.7.
