Is Mini Pill Advisable For The Person Having Mini-stroke?

Hi my daughter had a mini-stroke before xmas and when she saw the consultant he said she would never be able to take the pill again. I visited my GP and told him what had happened. My daughter was put on the pill because of bad period pains. My GP has now prescribed the mini-pill for my daughter. Is this pill OK for her to take as she had a mini-stroke?
