Is Mirena Best Treatment For Heavy Vaginal Bleeding?

Hi there I have a Lot of abdominal pain and ad heavy bleeding to the point of collapsing. Test came back with multiple large fibroids, he inserted a merina bleeding has stopped which really pleased about but still have a lot of pain. I had my last appointment and was told that I have enlarged uterus by another Dr who has now offered me a hysterectomy. Is the merina the best option or the surgery
