Is Myomectomy A Good Option For Adenomyosis?

I have been diagnosed with adenomyosis and I want to preserve my uterus. I am 44 years old and I have heard about myomectomy. I consulted gyne about myomectomy but he said myomectomy is not best for me. He suggested hysterectomy but I want to preserve my uterus. I would like to ask your advice regarding myomectomy. I know that there is a chance that the fibroids will come back but I also learned that when I reached menopause, these fibroids will shrink.
I have done MRI and ultrasound and I think the size of the fibroids is 4 cm.
