Is Passing Blood Clots Normal After Removing Mirena IUD?

hello....i've had so many gyno probs in the last 2 and half years. in 08 i started depo and spot bled the entire year so of course i was done with that (thought id given it enough time to work into my system) after stopping that process i used the patch for a few months, didn't like it. so i stopped that and used nothing. I became pregnant, actually it was an ectopic pregnancy. in 09 i had my tube removed and started the mirena iud. just like with the depo i had bleeding and spotting the entire year and 4 months. This past week i had it removed and now im passing clots the size of golf balls. is this normal? how long should this go on before i should become worried?
