Is Plastic Lens Implantation Recommended After Having Cataract Surgery ?

Do you recommend implants for vision? I have just had laser surgery to remove a catarract from my right eye. The second part of the procedure is tomorrow, to implant a permanent contact lens. I am 66. What if my vision changes? The lens is plastic. Plastic is not good for people. We have stopped drinking from plastic bottles. We no longer use plastic containers to store our food. Is it a good idea to have a plastic lens inside my eye?
