Is Salpingectomy The Right Birth Control Method To Prevent Pregnancy?

I will have salpingectomy next week as a birth control method do you recommend it for women who are really done with having kids .or do you recommend tubal ligation by banding the tubes
I am little bit afraid from the procedure specially after waking up
