Is Scabies Related With Itchy Red Marks On Knuckles And Calves?

I have small red marks on my knuckles, hands, one wrist and calves. They are itchy, and I wake up sometimes in the middle of the night scratching. I have had this for about a year, and the dermatologist suggests it's an allergic reaction to latex, but I don't wear lates gloves. Could this be scabies?
