Is sepsis being diagnosed using the new criteria or are doctors still using the 4 main indicators - Leukocytosis/leukopenia/bandemia, hyperthermia/hypothermia tahypnea and tachycardia those are the indcators we have been using. doctors will document meets criteria for sepsis with 3 out of 4 indicators with leukocytosis, fever, and tachycardia. Are they using the new criteria which must involve organ dysfunction?
