Is Smoking Marijuana Safe After A Surgery?

Hi I need a quick answer, I had pins put in my 4th and 5th metacarpals. I was iv sedated, no breathing tubes or anything. I got surgery around 12:45pm today, is it okay if I smoke marihuana tonight? Will it be BAD for me? Any harmful things to be aware of? I m not taking any pain killers because I hate putting pulled in my body . Thanks for your help
