Is Soreness And Burning Due To Poikiloderma Of Civatte Normal?

hi,i have recently been diagnosed with Poikiloderma of Civatte on my neck........it gets darker and lighter sometimes...but what worries me that on a couple of ocassions it has over the past few months got quite uncomfortable and sore,slightly burning....I'm just wondering if this is normal?
