Is Spotting A Sign Of Pregnancy?

I spotted brownish from January, Monday the 19th till Sunday the 25th. Only wore a panties liner. Period isn't due till tomorrow or Friday. Last day of my last period was like the 2nd or 3rd of January. Was wondering when i should take a pregnancy test. I didn't spot at all with my first child but spotted for 13 days with my second. Trying to remember back 5 years the spotting then is a lot like i just had except this time it's not 13days it was 7. What should i do
