Is Stiff Neck Post Having Vp Shunt On Neck A Cause For Concern?

I have a vp Shunt and I've just gotten over a fever. I have minor headaches when I wake up in the morning but they go away. Also the tubing for my shunt is on the right side of my neck and since my fever which was about a week ago, my neck has been stiff. what could this be?
