Is Stinging And Burning Vagina While Using Timodine A Cause For Concern?

Hi, I recently went to the doctors after I noticed a lump on my vagina and after my vagina became unusually sore. The doctor advised me it was nothing to worry about just a possible skin tag, and gave me some timodine to help reduces the redness and soreness, when I used the timodine it stings and burns once it is on is this ok?
