Is Sublingual Dosage Of Vitamin B12 Effective?

I a m a 92 year old male. My recent Quest B12 lab test is 248 pg/mL in an acceptable tolerance of 200-1100. I would like to increase it to 300 pg/mL. Currently, I'm taking 1000 mcg of B12 daily, sublingual.
1. Will this dosage increase my pg/mL to 300?
2. Does sublingual have any advantage over oral tablet?
