Is Surgery For Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Advisable At An Elderly Age?

Hello doctor, My Mother in law has been diagnosed with few conditions 1. blocked salivary glands . 2. Also she has carpal tunnel syndrome on her right hand. unable to hold any objects or apply pressure 3. spondylosis. severe neck and shoulder pain( May also have nerve compression in spine, not sure) 4. knee joint pain ( she is a bit overweight) she is now planning to do the surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome. Can the surgery cure her condition? could you please provide the cure for other conditions too, especially for neck and shoulder pain Many thanks Meera
