Is Surgery Necessary For Mucosal Thickening And Mastoid Air Cell Defects Noted In A CT Scan?

hello, mine friend is suffering from some ear problem . but she is not getting any symptoms of it. even she do not feel any pain on her ear. but just some wax like stuff is coming out of her ear. but , some doctors are saying that its rare case. she needs a major operation. in her CT report it is written that Mucosal thickening is seen in both frontal, ethmoid , maxillary , sphenoid sinuses. impression as default in right mastoid air cells extending into external auditory canal. is their any need to operate?
