Is Surgery Necessary To Removal Of Ovarian Cyst?

hi.. this is regarding my health..i am 22 years old and i had my TVS ultrasound last week..the result is i have normal sized midpositioned uterus secretory endometrium / endometriotic cyst both ovaries... the size of my ovaries are 6.07 x 6.32 x 5.96 and 5.03 x 4.26 x 3.42.. my doctor suggested that after my last mens, i should take the contraceptive injectable and take another ultrasound after 3 months to see if my cyst are reducing.. is it ok if i didnt go on surgery..?? tnx and more power..
