Is Surgery Recommended For Fused Ankle Joint?

I have had my right ankle fused and now I am told I need to have the other joints fused. The xrays show the joints are totally destroyed. I have read a lot of testimonials saying they were worse off after having the surgery. Should I go through this procedure again?
