Is Surgery Required For Dislocated Metatarsal Bone?

hi, i broke my 5th metatarsal in 3 places along the mid section 5 weeks ago, X-ray show dislocation also, in moon boot, Dr says may need surgery, said to give it another 2 weeks in boot, but after 5weeks already with no sign of re alining do you think it possible or will i need surgery
