Is Surgery Required If Pain In Spine Is Not Reducing With Epidurals?

I'm a 56 year old embalmer. I was diaganosed with multiple disc herniations to my lumbar spine L2-L5. I also have disc desiccation and spondylosis. I have been dealing with this pain for 9months. I have received many weeks of Pt as well as epidurial injections with only minimal reduction in my pain. Do you think i need surgery ? Philip
