Is Surgery The Best Treatment Option For Sluggish Gallbladder?

I have read too many articles about sluggish gallbladder but none of them come out with a clear answer to the question of if the gallbladder without stones should be removed or if it has a chance to improve its function?? Every article goes into a number of herbs and treatments to take without saying when to remove it? I have done ultrasounds: findings= no stone. I have the scan showing a sluggish gallbladder (score of 37). Sent to a surgeon to remove it. No options given or easy explanation as of why shouldn t I keep the GB and change my diet. Is that the end of the gallbladder and surgery the best option?
