Is Surgery The Only Option For Herniated Disc Along With Sciatica?

Greetings doctor , my mother who is about 50 years old was disgnosed with herniated disc along with sciatica about two months ago , the doctor siggested operation but vonsidering all the risks she refused to that .Her pain worsen about two weeks ago . We consulted doctors and they only prescribed some pain killers , her pain is better bow but ever since then she has started thinking about unusul thing for instance about someone of the family getting into accident , or getting robbed etc . She thinks about these things the whole day ad panickson every knock .Pleade how can we help her out of these thinkings and hypnosis ?
