Is Taking Methylphenidate Safe While On Pre-workout Supplement?

I have been prescribed methylphenidate (concerta) slow release capsules, and im fairly new to this medication. I was wondering if taking this along with my normal preworkout supplement I use everyday for the gym is a bad mix or can cause serious harm?
