Is Tanning Safe After Having A Skin Tag Removed?

Hello. I just recently had a skin tag removed. Cleansed daily, with antibiotics on the band-aid. This was a week ago. Today, I went tanning but hours later noticed a red oval shape around where the skin tag was. This shape is exactly the same shape and size of the band-aid I had on previous week. Could the adhesive from this band-aid cause my skin to burn from tanning?
