Is The Flector Patch Appropriate For 89 Year Old With

Is the Flector Patch appropriate for 89 year old with what I am reading about how long it is maintained in the system? Would this patch be used for chronic pain in her shoulder and knee? She had these patches following knee replacement but does not want further surgery and is too frail now.
