Is There A Non Surgical Treatment For Spinal Stenosis?

My mom has been experience sever leg cramps and low back pain. She was just diagnosis with spinal stenosis. She currently on medications, she cant stand up straight she is walking bent over at a 45 degree angle. IS there anything that will help her beside surgery? Will it get any better or will be be in a wheelchair for the rest of her life?
