Is There A Relation Between Sinus Infection And PRS?

my brother had a severe sinus infection which put him down and about 6 months after that starting having problems with his colon. Then later on since the colon issuse became unbearable; had a colostomy which detected PRS.. Question is do u think there is a relationship with the sinus infection and the PRS?
