Is There An Alternate For Oxycodone To Treat Knee And Back Pain?

I was involved in head on MVC in 2001. L1 burst fracture with spinal cord tear. I have a cage 2 rods and screws. In 2005 I suffered a herniated disc secondary to MVC. I had another spinal fusion below the first one. I suffered for years until in 2011 I went back to Neurosurgeon with severe back hip and knee pain. Unable to sleep. I was finally introduced to Pain management docs. I worked full time until I could barely walk. I discovered 2 new herniated discs in the cage. No one will surgically touch me. I did PT, tens, internal stim trial and many caudal injections. I was finally placed on Oxycodone. I take 20mg 4x daily. Pain is manageable. My neuro MD asked me to try a new pain spec. new treatments and trials. So I saw them. They put me extended release meds and decreased my oxy in half. The ER meds are like taking waterpills. No relief. Now I had to quit my job r/t increased pain. The MD wont see me because the inj don't work. He has a PA see me. I recently went into the office upset that my pain was out of control. They said. We are not a good fit for you and if you return we will not prescribe any oxy for you because they wont be making it anymore. What do I do. They wont give me a referral and my last MD is mad that I left him. I cant get treatment without a pain specialist. My PCP wants pain management. What can I do?
