Is There An Alternative Medicine For Provera?

I just turned 40 - discontinued the pill and got a tubaligation because of hypertension. I haven't had a cycle in 3 mths. GYN put me on provera for 10 days of each month for PCOS. I've only taken it 2 days and am depressed. I already have depression. Is there an alternative that doesn't cause depressive symptoms?
