Is There Any Connection Between Anal Abscess And Pyramidal Cyst?

My son had in Feb had surgery for a huge pyladimal cyst incision semi closed method then in July 2011 he had surgery for a Anal horseshoe abscess, five weeks open wound in left buttocks. then it flared up again while overseas Aug/Sept 2014 no surgery just lanced and drained, same wound left buttocks Now Jan 2015 it has flared up again, we have had an MRI but no results yet. My question would and Anal abscess and a pyramidal cyst be connected?????
