Is There Any Side Effect From Missing A Dose Of Mexiletine Hydrochloride?

My husband takes 2 x 100 mg mexiletine hydrochloride 3x daily usually 11am 5pm and 11 pm today he missed the 5 pm dose and had it a 10 pm do. We have to wake at 4am to take a dose or will we wait until tomorrow at 11am and just miss a dose today thanks
