Is There Any Ways To Find Out If There Is Any Tampon Inside Me?

I have no idea whether a tampon is inside me or not. I put on gloves and tried feeling for one, but am not having any success. I want to put a fresh tampon in but am fearful of pushing the "possible tampon" up further. Are there any ways I would be able to tell? This would have happened in the past 24 hours.
