Is There Such A Thing As "throat Stretching"? My Husband

Is there such a thing as "throat stretching"? My husband sometimes has a problem with swallowing larger pills, and a friend of his said he had his throat stretched. I think his friend may have been teasing him, but my hubby is positive he has heard of this other places, and from other people, also. I never heard of it.???
