Is To Be Able Feel Mirena Coil Insert In Cervix,normal?

I am 37, I have had a mirena coil fitted about 5 weeks ago, a week after having it fitted I had extreme stomach craps for 2 days. when I checked the strings they seemed a lot longer. I went to get it checked the nurse cut the strings and said that the coil was still in place. My period started the next day, it lasted 2 weeks when i stopped bleeding I checked for my strings and could feel plastic tip just inside my cervix my cervix is quite open as I have had 3 children. I went to the nurse again but she still thinks it is in place correctly. Am I being paranoid, is it sometimes posible to feel the coil in your cervix?
